Our guest today is Dr Bieke D Puncochar, PhD. Bieke is a Child Psychologist by training and profession and in her life outside of work is deeply involved in the Native Gardening movement. She is one of the cofounders of the Nashville non profit “Neighbors 4 Native Plants”
In the effort to make a wide variety of plants available in abundance to Nashville gardeners at a low cost, she has learned how to propagate many species of plants from seed. She uses a technique called “Winter Sowing”. This technique takes advantage of the normal life cycle of plants, together with seasonal change, to bring new plants to life under controllable conditions.
