Interview With Bobby Fulcher, Tennessee State Parks Folklife Program

For the past 40 years our guest Bobby Fulcher has been involved in a quest to seek out and document the wonderful elements of Tennessee Folk Culture.  He initiated the Tennessee State Parks Folklife Program in 1979 and continues today to explore and to promote the music and  ways of life of the authentic Tennessee.  Today, Bobby is the Park Manager of The Cumberland Trail State Park, leading the development and management of a scenic trail which extends from the the Southern border of Tennessee at Signal Mountain , to the Northern terminus at Cumberland Gap.  We talk with Bobby about the history of the State Parks Folklife Program  with special attention to an upcoming benefit  concert, with musical artists with their  roots in The Cumberland Plateau.
